about me !

hello and welcome to my site! i'm a singaporean year 2 psychology & global mass communications university student who loves the web revival movement, alongside internet history, cyberculture, and viruses. i've always wanted to make a fancy website of my own, but html and css has always been so intimidating for me to learn, for some reason. i also have huge gripes about the modern social media atmosphere, web 3.0 and how capitalism interferes with what was originally made to share information and communicate with others. one could this project is my way of forcing myself to learn as much as i can about coding websites in a limited time frame.

other than everything and anything to do with the web, i'm also fascinated by korean and japanese idol cultures. my first encounter with any sort of idol culture was in 2010, thanks to anime i watched at the time. it led me to wanting to be an idol, but that dream of mine has faded with time, haha! but my fascination with societies, behaviour and relationships eventually evolved into a general enthusiasm for anthropology, sociology, and mythology. i've recently gotten into punk subculture, and i'm specifically enamoured with the energetic, supportive riot grrrl subculture!

i'm also a huge fan of fiction, especially stories that break the traditional manner of storytelling. i enjoy interactive fiction, experimental fiction and metafiction specifically. these genres of fiction inspire me heavily in my own storytelling and creative endeavours. one day, i hope i can write a story about the digital realm that resonates with other people who have been raised by the internet like i have.

other than that... i like musicals, i hate milk, i love puns, i'm getting into fashion, and i think everyone should be romanticising their lives, because what else are we going to romanticise?
